Albion Park is located approx. 18 km south of Wollongong and 104 km south of Sydney.
The area around Albion Park was cleared by cedar cutters, and they were quickly followed by graziers who recognised the potential of this well-watered area. The arrival of the railway line in 1887, and the completion of the road through Macquarie Pass to the Southern Highlands hastened the town’s growth.
Current population of Albion Park is approx. 11,261 but is still regarded as a quaint rural town with all the perks of a small town mentality. Albion Park is bordered by the Illawarra escarpment in the west, Dapto in the North, Kiama in the South and Shellharbour in the East.
